Used shoes are one of the easiest products to add to a used clothing container. CalTex Traders sells used shoes wholesale by the full container load from California and has done so since 2010. This guide explains the four types of second hand shoes buyers can choose from.
Sorted used shoes by grade
Sorted used shoes are graded in our California warehouse into combinations of men’s, ladies’, children’s and sports shoes, then packed in polypropylene bags of 50 lbs or 55 lbs. Grade A (#1) used shoes are clean, colorful pairs with no rips, tears, holes or peeling. Grade B (#2) used shoes make up the next grade. Sports shoes and sneakers, flip flops and sandals, canvas shoes and work boots are also available.
Unsorted used shoes (thrift surplus shoes)
If you prefer to sort for your own market, unsorted paired used shoes come from thrift store surplus: assorted styles and grades with a mix of men’s, ladies’, children’s and sports shoes, packed in Gaylord boxes or bags. Loads follow the standards we buy to: no broken soles, no peeling shoes, no high heels and no boots.
Credential shoes (original shoes)
Credential shoes are untouched, unsorted shoes taken out of credential clothing before baling, so they avoid the damage baling causes. They come from donation bin collections and are packed in boxes, bags or large cap sacks, paired and banded. They are a strong choice for graders who want original, unpicked stock.
Closeout and store-return shoes
We also supply closeout shoes: salvage merchandise (customer returns, damaged floor stock and samples), discontinued styles, and job-out shelf pulls that were marked down and did not sell. Ask us what is available now.
